The Creation Project explores the seven days of creation, including the sacred day of rest. The first ten tracks each highlight a different moment in the unfolding work of creation as described in the book of Genesis. The remaining tracks depict creation in motion, capturing the beauty, rhythm, and movement of a world that has been formed and set into motion. By the third movement, creation is alive and beaming.

 

“Winter Arches Over Cascadia” was written to evoke the sensation of flight over the Cascade Mountains of Western Washington. In summer, these peaks rise jagged and angular, exposed granite cutting sharply against the sky. But in winter, under the weight of snow, their severity softens. Edges round. Ridges smooth. The mountains begin to resemble vast, sculpted arches.

 

The music reflects this quiet transformation. Creation is no longer chaotic or forming, it is sustained, softened, and held in luminous stillness. Winter does not erase the granite; it reveals its hidden grace.
